I've been meaning to post this for months now, since a wise friend, who
has more experience than me about being a father, send me a congrats
email about our developing baby. I am quoting below part of his message1,
which is, indeed, right on the money.
... you likely know, kids are open
source - everyone wants to add code and then let you maintain it - but
there is no documentation because the programmers are too busy to
write anything down.
And just when you get a moment to relax the code
blows up and you have to change it. Hopefully there is is technical
support - grandmothers, etc. ...
Really, I got nothing to add to that, except that I hope to do my best
maintaining my son's (or daughter's) "code".
