Compare simulated mean and variace with the theoretical values
We will run 1000 rounds of simulation of 40 exponentials with \lambda = 0.2,
using a fixed seed, and comparing the center of the distribution of the mean
and variance values with the theoretical 1 / \lambda:
Assignment 2 of the course "Reproducible Research" (Coursera)
Storms have a (usually negative) effect on human populations, and in this analysis
we study the overall impact on public health (in terms of deaths or
injuries caused by the events), as well as the financial losses incurred
by damage to property and crops.
We will use the list of Presidents of Peru from a Wikipedia page, to
play a bit with some cool R packages (XML, dplyr, lubridate, ggplot2,
and googleVis), which will be used to extract and clean up the data,
and later make some summaries and plots.
